OUR HISTORY
Cary School of Music was established in 1993 by Pam Pandolfi with the help of a grant from her brother Emile and his wife Judy. Pam and her siblings were raised in a musical environment in Canarsie, New York, and later in Greenville, South Carolina, where they developed their talents under the tutelage of exceptional music teachers throughout the years. After graduating from Baylor University in 1966 and moving to Cary, North Carolina in 1974 with her young family, Pam became immersed in the evolving Triangle music community. As her four children grew and continued the deep family interest in learning to play and perform on their chosen instruments, it became a challenge to find teachers for each of them and to schedule their private lessons throughout the Triangle area. The dream of finding one location to offer lessons on diverse instruments and in various musical styles, with an in-house performance venue and an outlet on the premises to purchase music and instrumental accessories, became a reality with the help and involvement of many friends and family members. Currently, CSM Associate Directors Pam Pandolfi and Michael Mole, Administrator of Cary Music Supply Christina Mole, the esteemed CSM faculty and staff, and Pam’s children and grandchildren, play integral roles in sharing and spreading the joy of music education in the community.
